Quizrook
Quizzes that write themselves, so you can teach.
Quizrook is a quiz tool for teachers, built by Tiraverse and live with a free plan. Add a PDF, a document or a YouTube link and it drafts a quiz for the year group you choose. You review it, publish it and teach.
Live Free plan, no card needed.
Three stages, from your material to a quiz.
Quizrook writes the first draft. The judgement about what is worth asking stays with you.
-
Add your sources
Drop in a PDF, Word, Excel or PowerPoint file, paste a YouTube link or simply type a topic. Up to eight sources, in mixed formats.
-
Pick your class
Choose the year group and a preset: recall practice, exam prep or higher-order thinking. Quizrook chooses a question type for each question, or you set the mix yourself.
-
Review and publish
The draft opens in a two-pane editor where every question can be changed inline. Nothing is published until you publish it; then you share the link.
25 ways to ask, on every plan.
From multiple choice to hotspots, tables, rating scales and rich media. Pupils can draw on a picture or a blank page, upload a photo or record their voice. No plan locks a question type.
Quizrook can choose a type for each question, or you can pick your own.

Locked quizzes
A teacher can require Safe Exam Browser for a quiz, which then opens only inside it. Safe Exam Browser must be installed: school laptops may not allow that, and Android devices and Chromebooks cannot open a locked quiz.
-
Picture Reveal
Switch it on when you publish, and a picture uncovers as pupils answer correctly: a way to play a quiz as a game.
-
Set the depth
Bloom-aligned presets and sliders, mapped to UK Key Stages 1 to 5, with international age fallbacks.
-
Public library and remix
Publish a quiz publicly and other Quizrook teachers can find it. Find one close to what you want, remix it in one click, and the attribution stays with it.
-
Bring your existing quizzes
On the Pro and School plans, import from Kahoot and Wayground PDFs, Blooket CSV and PDF files, and Moodle XML or GIFT. Your questions stay yours.
Stored in the UK, on our own servers.
Quizzes, answers, uploads and backups are kept on Tiraverse’s own servers in London, and the backups stay in the UK. Each organisation’s data is kept apart by the database itself, using row-level security.
For pupil data the school is the controller and Tiraverse Ltd the processor. A Data Processing Agreement is available on request, and export or erasure requests are handled within one month.
- Who writes the questions
- Anthropic’s Claude models draft the questions from the material and settings the teacher gives, and the request has no field for pupil details. If a teacher turns on automatic marking for a question, Anthropic also receives the question, the marking notes and the pupil’s answer.
- Cookies
- Quizrook sets no cookies of its own, and its page analytics set none either.
- Spoken answers
- Turned into text on Quizrook’s own servers. Pupil audio is not sent to an outside transcription service.
- What is public
- A quiz published on the free plan is public. Paid plans can keep a quiz private. Pupils’ answers are never part of the library.

-
Do pupils need an account?
No. Pupils join with the quiz link and a nickname, with no account and no email address, unless the teacher chooses school-account sign-in.
-
Can I edit the questions before pupils see them?
Yes. Quizrook writes the first draft and waits for you. Every question can be edited inline, and nothing reaches pupils until you publish.
-
Where is the data stored?
Quizzes, answers, uploads and backups are stored in the UK, on Tiraverse’s own servers in London. Web traffic passes through a proxy in Finland that stores nothing. The Quizrook privacy page sets out what is stored, where, and who else sees it.
-
What does it cost?
There is a free plan and no card is needed. It includes every question type and the public library. Paid plans add more quizzes, private quizzes and imports. Current prices are on the Quizrook pricing page.
